Gencho Simeonov shows more than 90 works from different periods in the gallery of the UBA at "Shipka" 6. This is his third solo exhibition, in which the 82 year old author will show cartoons, drawings and paintings of his entire artistic career.

"The artist rather see what he paint instead of painting what he sees" - the thought of Eric Gombrich inspired Juliana to summarize in one title and to present to the public exhibition "Close spaces".

The World Federation of medal art will hold its 33rd consecutive Congress in Grand Hotel Sofia from 2 to 6 September 2014. The event is under the patronage of Mrs. Yordanka Fandakova, Mayor of Sofia.
One of the shows that will be found within the congress is "Medal sculpture" which will be held from 2 to September 15 in the gallery of the UBA at "Shipka" 6 Str. and will present recent works by Bulgarian and foreign authors working on medal sculpture.

Emil Bachiiski will show to the public in Sofia his recent works in the field of three-dimensional art.
And this time he's not cheating on his favorite materials: stone, wood and metal, creating works that carry philosophical and messages mystical charge.

For one month in two exhibition halls in the gallery of the UBA, Sofia, at "Shipka" 6 Str. will be presented the first international exhibition of comics in Bulgaria - Sofia COMICS EXPO 2014.
The rich collection includes over 1,200 works by 170 artists from 16 countries: Australia, Argentina, Belgium, Bulgaria, Germany, Denmark, Spain, Poland, Russia, USA, Serbia, the Netherlands, France, Croatia, Czech Republic, and Switzerland.
On June 30, the „Jordan Parushev” foundation announced the winners of the first national competition „The Paper in the Contemporary Art” 2014.
Miglena Yoncheva - Nikolova from Sofia was awarded for first place in the national competition for contemporary art for young artists in the name of the famous artist Jordan Parushev. She received a certificate and a trophy, a replica of the landmark work of the artist. Second place went to the conceptual work „Touch” Stefan Dimitrov from Burgas and the third - the installation „Below the surface” of Nanyo Bakalov from Lovech.
