At 17th of April the traditional annual exhibition section "13" was opened. There are presented the latest works by artists working in the field of contemporary art – painting, installation, video, object.

The exhibition is focuses on the achievements of the current lithographic studio in the country and is dedicated to the 40th anniversary from the opening of the graphic base of UBA in Samokov.

The collection of 257 lithographs, made from 161 artists, shows the undoubted merits of these workshops for the development of the modern Bulgarian graphics.

The most valuable point in this exhibition is the reminder of the need to preserve the great traditions in the Bulgarian illustration for children and adults, severely affected negatively by the tastelessness grown by the most national publishers now...

An artist with a long creative life, Petar Chuklev has reached with his illustrations every contemporary Bulgarian who had ever opened a book. He was born in 1936 in Sofia. He graduated from the National Art Academy in 1960, “Graphic’ specialty in the class of Professor Evtim Tomov, then he specialized illustration in the atelier of Professor Veselin Staykov.

During her creative stay in Bulgaria Ursula Shteglih-Shaup /Ursula Steglich-Schaupp / make the installation "Glance aside" "Seitenblicke", which is a conceptual continuation of her creative aspirations from 2010 until now.

The art of Buyan Filchev comes in many formal, technological, functional areas and types (picture, print and computer graphics, collage, painting, book design), but within this it demonstrates impressive integrity, organic and unity.

The jubilee exhibition of Ivan Veselinov presents works from the field of satirical graphics, poster and painting.

The solid drawing, the temperamental stroke, the artistic spilled stain, the  sense for the typical and characteristic, derived not as speculative, but as a concrete visual-plastic categories, as exactly found equivalent to a feeling or emotional and spiritual states are the most important characteristics of his style. 

Some people have power, money, weapons, while Velko struggled with sharp pencil. Sincerely and uncompromisingly he handled with situations, current events and characters. A look over his creative work shows a sharp actuality even in works from decades ago.
