Nikolai Staikovski

The artist Nikolai Staykovski was born on 11th of May 1956 in Pleven.
A big part of his early print art works are spiritually and thematically related to the national cultural and historical heritage. The great past and its relics - Eneolithic ceramics and female "idols", medieval and Renaissance churches and monasteries, cities and fortresses, heroes and saints turn into inspiration and creative challenge for this outstanding master of the high-print engraving with a bright and distinctive handwriting.
Staykovski's work is bright and positive, highly professional, understandable and meaningful.
Gustav's home - exhibition of Valeri Vasilev

Everyone has their own home that is always with him, brings their sensation and attractiveness. Suddenly decides to leave it? Why?
The story, which the artist Valery Vassilev will tell in the exhibition hall, is not finished. He, himself may be surprised when he installs the exhibition. We are yet to meet the new amploa of the well-known lithograph. He calls this direction a radical change.

The exhibition aims to provoke a different look at the art of printing. The participants are both well-established and very young artists who use classical or innovative graphic techniques in their works.
„Dry point and water“ – exhibition of Lyuben Pashkulski

Although he recently has turned 80 years Lyuben Pashkulski did not called this exhibition a jubilee one. „What meaning did the years have. It's important what you did, it’s important to be someone...“- he said, surrounded by pictures while arranging the exhibition. The exhibiton has a retrospective character; there are more than 100 works from the last 20 years, a time during which the artist worked graphics and watercolor. Well known to the audience are his female characters, beautiful, mysterious and tender.
4th Mini Print Forum 2016

After a one-year break, on the cultural scene it returns one of the most popular events of the section "Graphics and Illustration" at UBA - the Forum "Mini Print."
Traditionally it will held in various galleries in Sofia and in the country - this year it is hosted by the gallery "Art Alley".
Within the exhibition will be held action of print art works (initiated by Lubo Farzulev). This is an opportunity aimed at connoisseurs and collectors Graphics to acquire works of their favorite authors attractive price of 50 BGN.

Fifth national competition of Alianz Bulgaria (painting, sculpture and print art)

On April 7, 2016 at the Union of Bulgarian Artists in Sofia was opened the exhibition of the fifth edition of "National Competition Allianz Bulgaria for painting, sculpture and graphics." The competition is under the patronage of the Ministry of Culture. Under the regulation, the competition involved artists from Sofia, Pernik, Kyustendil and Blagoevgrad. Professional jury: Nikolay Maystorov Paul Koychev Gazdov and Iskra Trayanova, examined a total of 288 works by 141 authors. The exhibition will continue until April 30, 2016.
Exhibition of the new members of the UBA

The exhibition presents works of the new members of the UBA. The session for admittance is held every two years. In March 2016 were adopted 118 new members in the sections "Graphics and Illustration" (10), "Graphic Design" (3), "Cartoon" (1), "Art critic" (4), "Advertising Design" (2), "Section 13" (9), "Stage design" (3), "Painting" (45), "Sculpture" (13), "Monumental arts" (8), "Wood carving" (4), "Textiles" (3 ), "Ceramics" (11), "Jewelry" (1), "Design" (1).

Usually we think of drawing as a single work created on the two-dimensional surface of a sheet of paper. But today, such a claim is utterly untenable, because the 21st century provides multiple technological means for its realization.
