“A map of the world that does not include Utopia is not worth even glancing at."
By definition Utopia (from greek - no-place) is any real or imaginary society, place, state, etc, considered to be perfect or ideal.
Utopia is rather a dimention in the human-cunssousnes than a specific plase.
The human brain is arranged to notice and visualize evil, darkness better and in great detail. The examples are countless in the history of art and literature. Contemporary issues and debates are no exception: deepening social inequalities and regional wars, global human-related catastrophes, financial crises, overpopulation of the planet, famine and migration, bleak prospects for the future.
As a counterpoint in our consciousness there is a utopian dimension, impulse, a quest for transcendence, an imagination for salvation, but it is always somewhere else, not here, not so clearly as being.
