Union of Bulgarian Artists / Exhibitions / ArchiveExhibition of section "Monumental Arts" - stained glass
The first exhibition entirely dedicated to the history and current trends in Bulgarian stained glass, is returning to Sofia at the end of the year.
Organized during the month of September 2014 by the "Bulgarian art glass" Foundation and according to the idea of the artist Yuri Vasilev, the exhibition is presented until now in five Bulgarian cities - Sofia, Varna, Veliko Tarnovo, Stara Zagora and Sliven.
Traveled many miles throughout 2015, the exhibition "Bulgarian stained glass" is back in the capital enriched with new works by artists already presented, but also with new names in the author list.
Contemporary artists will present from one to three works made from classic stained panel with metal joining techniques of details, with or without painting on glass, at the discretion of the artists and their personal preferences and style.
Special pride for the organizers of the Union of Bulgarian Artists and the "Bulgarian art glass" Foundation are the five debutantes artists who made their first public appearance precisely in this project: Velina Staleva, Vessela Petrova, Daniel Ivanov and Nevena Lefterova, graduates of the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Veliko Tarnovo and Nikola Grozdanov from the National Art Academy in Sofia. The names of these young authors loaded our team, hoping that in addition to its history and present, in the face of these young and talented people, the Bulgarian has a stained glass window and its future!
